David Iskowe, Founder and Chairman
David Iskowe began his health care career serving as Vice President for HealthAmerica Development, one of the industry’s first and largest for-profit HMO developers. He later co-founded FOCUS Healthcare, still one of the nation’s largest Workers’ Compensation PPOs. In early 2002, Iskowe founded EnableComp to help hospitals manage their revenue cycle and reimbursement for Workers’ Compensation claims, and continues to be its Chairman.
Widely recognized for his experience and industry leadership, Iskowe has served as an advisor to both casualty insurers and healthcare organizations including Johns Hopkins Medicine, AIG, and Midwest Employers Casualty Corporation. He has published on various occasions in Modern Healthcare, The National Underwriter and The Managed Care Handbook (Aspen Press). Iskowe is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Work Loss Data Institute, a leader in evidence-based medicine guidelines.
John Gillmor
John Gillmor has extensive experience in health care, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining a predecessor to Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP as a partner in 1989, he had been Executive Vice President, General Counsel and a Director of HealthAmerica Corporation, a NYSE listed company that operated health
maintenance organizations providing care to over one million members. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Hospital Affiliates International, Inc., a NYSE listed company that operated and managed approximately 200 hospitals in the United States and
abroad.
John is a former President of the Board of Trustees of University School of Nashville, of the Boards of Directors of the Nashville Opera Association and the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition he is past chairman of the continuing legal education committee of the Nashville Bar Association. He also founded successful boutique law firms catering to the alumni of Hospital
Affiliates and HealthAmerica which were the base of his practice at the firm. John is currently a board
member of Educational Networks of America, Inc. and of two non-for-profit nursing home chains, all of which are clients of the firm.
John has negotiated the acquisition of over 100 hospitals, nursing homes, HMOs and physician
practice groups during his almost 50 year career, and has extensive experience in negotiating financial arrangements to fund the acquisitions and the subsequent operations of the facilities. He was named among the Best Lawyers in America by Health Care Law in 2009, and is recognized in
the Expert Guide to "Leading US Healthcare Lawyers".
Jim Lackey, Chief Executive Officer
With more than 30 years of executive healthcare experience, and as a leader in the revenue cycle management industry, Jim Lackey brings exceptional insight to EnableComp’s product and services development process. In 1996, he joined Passport Health Communications as President, in 1998 assumed the additional responsibilities of CEO, and currently serves as the company’s Chairman. Today, Passport is a national provider of revenue cycle management solutions to more than 1,500 hospitals and 2,500 physician clinics and outpatient centers across the United States.
Lackey began his career in 1978 working in the financial administration department for a 300-bed community hospital. Over the years, he has served as a consultant for Ernst & Young and for a managed Medicaid intermediary. He was Assistant Vice President of Administration for HealthAmerica Corporation, Vice President of Administration and founding officer for Coventry Corporation, and President of FOCUS Healthcare Management.
Bob Yeager
Bob Yeager, co-founder and CEO of American Pathology Partners (APP), has over 30 years of experience in healthcare services. Prior to APP, he was Chairman of Attentus Healthcare Company, an operator of rural acute care hospitals, which he co-founded. Previously, he was President and CEO of OrthoLink Physicians Corporation, one of the largest providers of physician management services for orthopedic and sports-medicine doctors, backed by Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe. OrthoLink was one of the few
successful physician practice management companies to grow and survive in a difficult macro environment. The company provided services for over 200 physicians across the country.
Prior to OrthoLink, Mr. Yeager was Executive Vice President and CFO of Quorum Health Group, a large
hospital management company founded as a spin-off of HCA and backed by Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe. At Quorum, Mr. Yeager completed a $115 million IPO and raised over $200 million of debt capital. Previously, he held several positions with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), including hospital CFO, Regional AVP, and VP/Controller of HCA Management Company which ultimately was
spun off to form Quorum.
